I have been caught up in the preparations of Rosh Hashana, by which I mean meticulously plotting my rounds of the stores to avoid crowds, and I have been remiss in my blogging. (The actual cooking and baking–since I am buying challot instead of being a Real Jewish Housewife–I think took less time than the plotting and the buying and the hauling up the steps and the putting away and the rearranging the freezer 16 times.)
In sum: we’re good. Not at 100% fighting strength–Taxman is down for the count with a rather miserable stomach thing–but overall positive about our future prospects.
Still redheaded children. Still entirely too much yelling. Now with backyard. So it all evens out.
Wishing you a sweet and marvelous New Year!
