A fellow blogger will be making aliyah this summer and is running into problems registering her son for kita aleph; school is allegedly full. I say allegedly because everything in Israel seems to be totally last minute, and there are easily people who are waiting for their new house to be finished and may or may not have their kids there; may or may not change schools for x, y, or z reason; may or may not be expecting moshiach this Tisha b’Av; et cetera.
Furthermore, without a rental agreement and/or TZ is it even a real registration? (Aside, isn’t it awful that in less than nine months, now my attitude is, “Just wait, so you don’t have to go back and do it again or add something.” Sigh.)
If you have first hand knowledge of how to deal with the mamad schools in Jerusalem, or better yet if you have protexia to offer, please pay it forward. Shoot me an email; I will put you in touch.
