New shoes since July: uh, uh, no.
I thought the reason AM was being so “carry me, I don’t want to walk” lately was some two and a half year old push-pull clingy thing going on. But it just might be because his damn shoes are too small and they hurt his feet.
Oops.
Eh, there was a year that when I took C in for new shoes, his feet had grown TWO SIZES. The shoe store clerk was horrified. But how was I supposed to know that when he whined for a bazzilionth time “Carry me, my feet hurt,” that he really meant it?
Oh my. I wonder if this could be behind my girl’s nonstop “carry me” demands? Although she is typically barefoot (in our freezing cold house!) when she asks, so maybe not.
In any case, toddler shoe sizing completely baffles me, so don’t beat yourself up!
Bad mommy, bad mommy, bad mommy :P.
How ’bout the time I bought Miss O =new shoes cuz I thought she’d outgrown her old pair. Turns out there was a tiny toddler sock stuffed up in the toebox and once we discovered it the shoe magically fit. No wonder it was only small on one foot. I was out $30 and my toddler now how two pairs of shoes!
Oh, and let us know if the carry thing ends when he gets his new shoes.
